NEW ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION CLASS

Steve Forschler and Tom Lint will lead the class with a new topic: Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference? starting next Sunday.

MISSIONS SUNDAYS: On the 2nd and 4th Sundays each month, look for a C&MA Video feature highlighting updates from missionaries in the field. Presented by our Missions Team.

MOTHERS DAY CELEBRATION!
LADIES, we want to honor you with a special breakfast on May 11th, at 9:00 & 10:40 am

Please indicate on a pink pew card which breakfast your family will attend (and how many will come) so we can plan ahead.

MEN: We're looking for a few good men to prepare the Mother's Day Breakfasts. Please sign up on the pink pew card and someone will contact you.

TEACHERS NEEDED:
We are looking for teachers for the 4-5-6 Grade Class and the Middle-School Class starting this Fall. If you can help, or have questions, please contact Denise Beneway, or the Church Office.

MINISTRY COACHING MEETINGS:
Leaders, mark your calendars for the year-end meeting on Saturday, May 31st, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM!
Your participation is essential, so please plan ahead to attend.

We've collected material from several Christian colleges and they will be on display in the S.S. building NEXT SUNDAY. Check it out!

ALSO, PARENTS:  If you have a student who’s graduating this year, please let us know—we would like to recognize him or her in a special way. Please just fill in a pink pew card and drop it in an offering box, or call the church office.  

BABY SHOWER
Ladies are invited to a shower for Ali and Dan Melious to celebrate the birth in December of their son, Jack. Please join us here on Saturday, May 17th, from 2:00 to 4:00. Details are on the invitations in the foyer, or call Sallie Malafy.

PLEASE HELP US! If you know of a NEW family who has recently been blessed with a child, please call the church office. The ladies of our fellowship like to welcome new families with a "Shower" for the first child born into our local fellowship. We don't want to miss anybody, so please let us know what you know. OUR DAILY BREAD QUARTERLY MAILING
If you would like to have us send our quarterly mailing with Pastor's letter and the "Our Daily Bread" devotional booklet to your child away from home (or to anyone who may like to receive it), please make a note on an "I Wish…" card, and drop it in an offering box. And, if we don't have your current address or contact information, you can also use the card to let us know.

OFFICE NOTES:  Due to security and insurance concerns, the Sunday School building and the Church building will be locked except during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Ministry heads have already been given a key to unlock the doors, but if you have a need for one, please contact the church office.

LABELS FOR MISSIONARY KIDS
DON'T FORGET…
We are still collecting UPC codes from Campbell's products to purchase music instruments for missionary kids overseas. A note from the Beaverdale Alliance Church where the processing is done said the last overall collection was the lowest in 4 years! Collection instructions are in the foyer.

NEW LADIES' BIBLE STUDY 
 Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the Parsonage
- "Becoming a Vessel God Can Use" by Donna Partow
- What Does It Take To Be A Woman Who Makes A Difference In Her World?
- "Do your spices have to be in alphabetical order?"
- What words come to mind when you consider what kind of "vessel" you are? Crystal? Silver? Pewter? Antique? Clay? Chipped? Cracked? Broken? Do you have any idea what kind of vessel you are? Do you have to be perfect? We will see how God accomplishes extraordinary things through ordinary people who believe God can and will use them-imperfections and all.
ALL ladies are invited to join us for this 10-week study. Books will be provided at the first study and the decaf coffee/tea is always ready! Questions? Call Carol Hartley.
